Terms and Conditions of Use
Effective October 22, 2026
This is an English translation of the Spanish original. If there is any difference between the two, the Spanish version prevails.
In short: Leevo is for learning English by reading. Use your own account, don't cheat and respect the content. Access codes are valid for your institution's period and are refunded only if they have not been redeemed yet.
1. Acceptance
These terms govern the use of the Leevo platform (leevo.net). By creating an account or using the platform, you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Leevo.
If you are a minor, you need authorization from your parent or legal guardian. Your educational institution normally obtains that authorization (see section 3).
2. What Leevo is
Leevo is an educational platform where students read English stories by level, solve exercises, play games, progress through a digital book and earn trophies. Their teachers assign readings, review grades and leave comments, and institutions coordinate their teachers and classes.
3. Accounts
- To use Leevo you need an account with your real name and an email address of your own that you can verify.
- Your account is personal: do not share it or use someone else's. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for what is done with your account.
- Students under 18 sign up with the authorization of their legal guardian. When Leevo is used through a school, the school is responsible for obtaining that authorization under the agreement it signs with Leevo.
- Teachers link to their institution with the code given by their coordinator, and only see the students of their institution.
- You can delete your account at any time from My account → Delete my account (teachers, once they no longer have classes in their charge), or by asking our contact.
4. Access codes
- The content of each class is unlocked with an access code sold by Leevo. The price and payment method are stated before purchase.
- Each code can be used once and corresponds to one level. It is redeemed inside the class the student is enrolled in.
- A code is valid for the institution's enablement period in which it was redeemed. When that period ends, the class becomes "view only": the student still sees their grades, comments, ranking and trophies, but no longer the readings or the games. A new period requires a new code.
- Once redeemed, the code is tied to the student's account and cannot be transferred to anyone else.
- Refunds: a code can be returned and refunded only if it has not been redeemed yet. Once redeemed, there is no refund, because the content has already been unlocked. To request a refund, write to us with the code and the proof of payment.
- If a code does not work because of our error, we will replace it at no cost.
- None of the above limits your rights under Ecuador's Organic Consumer Protection Law.
5. Acceptable use
When using Leevo you agree not to:
- Cheat: alter grades, scores, progress or rankings, or use programs to solve exercises or play for you.
- Try to access other people's accounts, classes or data, guess codes, or breach the platform's security.
- Use Leevo in an automated way (bots, mass content extraction) or in a way that overloads the service.
- Write offensive or discriminatory content, or content that harasses others, in answers, names or comments.
- Sell, resell or publicly share codes, readings, books or other platform content.
If these rules are broken, we may cancel scores or progress obtained by cheating, suspend the account or delete it, depending on the severity.
6. Content and intellectual property
The readings, digital books, exercises, illustrations, audio, design and the Leevo brand belong to Leevo or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use them only within the platform and for educational purposes. You may not copy them, download them to distribute, modify them or use them commercially without our written authorization.
The answers students write and the comments teachers leave belong to their authors. They give us permission to store them and show them within the platform to the right people.
7. Service availability
We work to keep Leevo available and working well, but there may be interruptions due to maintenance, internet failures or issues with our providers. We may improve, change or remove features. If a change affects content you paid for that is still valid, we will look for an equivalent solution.
8. Liability
Leevo is a learning support tool: automatic grades show progress, but the final academic assessment belongs to the teacher and the institution. To the extent permitted by law, Leevo is not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the platform, nor for misuse of your account by third parties if you did not protect your password.
9. Institutions
Institutions that use Leevo with their students sign a separate agreement that covers, among other things, enablement periods, authorization from guardians and the handling of their students' data. If that agreement and these terms conflict, the agreement prevails for the institution.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will publish the new version on this page with its date and, if the change is significant, we will announce it within the platform. If you keep using Leevo after the notice, you are understood to accept the new version.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ecuador. Any dispute will first be addressed directly and amicably by writing to us; if that is not possible, it will be submitted to the competent courts of Ecuador, without prejudice to the rights the law grants consumers.
